Belvoir Castle Steam and Family Festival

On the glorious weekend of 22nd and 23rd May 2010, in the grounds of Belvoir Castle which is right on the border between Leicestershire and Lincolnshire, Paul Appleton and Phil Wing together with their team of section leaders and organisers held the popular annual event courtesy of course to the Duke of Rutland and his family, owners of the estate.

Like all events held in our climate we are subject to our wonderful weather systems, and this event in recent times has succumbed to exceedingly poor conditions. It was touch and go whether this event would run this year, and a slice of good weather and good fortune was needed. Although not fully recovered from previous episodes, I am sure that this last weekend has given Paul and Phil something to smile about.

Well done to you all, and I hope we can return next year.
I exhibited in an excellent tractor section run by Andy Watson, and what a magnificent display of tractors we had.

Here is a small selection of photographs I took.
