Classic Commercial Show
Saturday 26th March 2011, we visited the Classic Commercial Show, held at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern in Worcestershire. This is the second year this event has been held on this site and there were in excess of 100 exhibits, trade and catering. Furthermore an auction was conducted by H J Pughs. It was a cold grey day but we had a good time. We were allowed a small club display for the North Worcestershire Vintage Tractor and Engine Club. This was to promote two events, the Evesham Spring Gathering and the Annual Vintage Gathering at Astwood Bank 11th & 12th June. The latter event is organised by the NWVTEC.

St. Patrick's Day Parade, Birmingham, 2011
On Sunday 13th March the St Patricks Day Parade in Birmingham took place once again in which this year I took part.
It is a fantastic parade with hundreds of floats and up to an estimated 80,000 people lining the route.
I am on the little blue Ford Tractor following Tess Turner on her grey Fergie. Tess is wearing brown bib and brace type overalls. Matt Bisp is walking along side complete with camera.
The vintage section is led by Paul Davis on the Burrell Road Locomotive with Miles Banks in assistance and behind is the Douglas Timber Tractor driven by Mark Jones.

Tractor World, Malvern 2011
This last weekend, 5th and 6th March 2011, the annual Tractor World Show was held once again at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern, Worcestershire.
I have been attending this event for a number of years now and felt very happy once again to be present and part of the team from the North Worcestershire Vintage Tractor and Engine Club presenting our theme stand for this year. The theme was indeed 1920,s USA Pioneers.
More will follow on this.
However here are a number of selected photographs I took at the event.

East Lancs. Railway
Part of the East Lancs. Railway, is the Bury Transport Museum. Judging by its location and rails embedded in the Lancashire cobbles, it suggests that it was most likely an engine shed originally. However, here is a selection of photos taken on our recent visit.
A fine example of a Javelin Jowett, note the Scottish registration plate. In the back round, behind the railway carriage are the diesel engine sheds.
